The wilderness can seem like a daunting task for many of us to tackle. It's huge, unknown, and often unpredictable. There are people at home right now looking on the internet trying to research a trail, figure out what gear they need and don't need, or find a weekend hiking experience but have no idea how or where to begin. And that's exactly why we started documenting our outdoor experiences.

We bring the resources of our adventures to you so you can spend more time hiking and less time in front of a computer. We do our very best to provide simple and accurate trail descriptions, maps, photos, and details about every hiking and backpacking adventure in the state of Arizona that we have personally completed to date. Also included on this site are checklists, hiking tips, gear reviews, our awesome shop and much more to help you explore the vast beauty of Arizona.

As a native Arizonan, I have been actively hiking and exploring this state since birth. After spending the first 12 years of my life living in Tempe exploring the beautiful surrounding deserts of Arizona, my family moved to Pinetop/Lakeside in eastern Arizona where I learned to love the forest landscape that comes with living at 6,000ft.

In 2010 I "literally" met my dream girl (I seriously had a dream about her before I knew her) while attending Mesa Community College. Casi and I were married shortly thereafter and now hike and backpack all over the state together.
