Lower Salt River | February Cleanup

February Cleanup

Join Keep It Wild Co., Natural Restorations, & Friends of the Tonto National Forest as we team up to remove trash from the Lower Salt River from Phon D Sutton to Granite Reef on Saturday, February 18th at 8AM.

Details:

Who:

You! We need all the help we can get! Please bring your family, friends, neighbors, cousins, partners, dogs, children, and anyone else who might be interested in doing some good.
*Anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.

What:

This is a water and land cleanup; we are looking for volunteers on foot to collect trash along the riverbanks and volunteers in kayaks, paddleboats, and canoe's to collect trash in the water. Clubs and groups welcome!

We are working with local organizations to provide water crafts for volunteers who don't have equipment and register early. We'll provide additional details as soon as possible. If you are interested in borrowing equipment for the event, please send us an email.

When:

Saturday, February 18th at 8AM

Where:

We are meeting at the Phon D Recreation Site, look for our banners and registration tables. Phon D Sutton and Granite Reef sites have bathrooms for volunteers. If you are participating in the event, you will not need a Tonto Pass when you park.

Why:

Because the river needs us!  This river is a lifeblood to the Valley of the Sun and every year it gets trashed from heavy use.  Plus, we will have giveaways, goodies, and more!

Volunteer R.S.V.P.

Join us alongside Natural Restorations, and Friends of the Tonto as we clean up trash along the Lower Salt River!
**ATTENTION: Due to the overwhelming support and amount of signups, we have capped the amount of tees and goody bags at this time.  However, please sign up if you are able to help volunteer!
